On September 13, 2024, thousands of Boeing machinists went on strike. The strike is the first since 2008.[3]
The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers said 94.6% of workers voted to reject a contract of raised pay of 25% in 5 years, 96% voted to approve the strike surpassing the two-thirds threshold.[4]
