Yes, we braved the friendly skies and took the baby all the way to California last month…craziness!  I was totally petrified about how he’d be on the plane, but (luckily for us and everyone in earshot!) he was a total angel.

It was very splendiferous — we got to have lots of wonderful family time with grandparents and great-grandma and great-aunt and great-uncle (all of them fantastically great!) and Jonah thought it was all marvelous.

Plus we had some very thrilling and dramatic SITTING!  All by himself!  For the first time! 

And despite the jet lag and the time difference, we even had a little of this…:

I hope you guys all had a terrific July 31 – whether celebrating Harry Potter’s birthday, Chelsea Clinton’s wedding, or National Dance Day (!!!), which, incidentally, is a pretty clear sign to me that the universe understands my love for So You Think You Can Dance, since they decided to put it on my birthday and all (birthday! hooray!).  🙂

Although I have to admit this season hasn’t been the same since Alex got injured (sad sad SAD!), so I haven’t had as much to say about it.  But I did want to post this photo after the number where Jose looked so ridiculous in overalls, because you know who looks much much cuter in overalls than Jose?

Awwwww.  Seriously, overalls should be left to the experts, people.  😉
