New Book! New Book! Something to Blog About!
Hi everyone!
The baby has not made his grand entrance yet, but in the meanwhile, I do have a new book out today!
Yay! Oh No, Newf! is book five of the Pet Trouble series, although they can each stand alone, so you don’t have to have read the first four to read this one. I am totally in love with the Newfoundland on this cover — look how shaggy and lovable and sweet-faced he is! I don’t know what we’d ever do with a dog this big (Sunshine would have a heart attack), but it’s hard not to love them, don’t you think? 🙂
I’m also excited about this book because it’s finally Heidi’s story; we met her in book one and she’s popped up in each of the books since then, but now we get to go inside her house and learn her secrets and, most importantly, give her a dog! I love writing Heidi because I’m pretty clumsy like she is (although I was never tall) and because she loves dogs with all her heart and soul — dogs of any size or breed. She makes mistakes, but she’s always trying to do the right thing, and I think she’s someone I’d want to be friends with. Hopefully you all will like her, too!
If you have read the first four, this one will also give you more insight into another character we’ve already met…one which you might not like so far, but see what you think once you know a bit more. 😉
Plus you’ll get a glimpse of who’s coming up in book six, including a brief encounter with the dog named Jeopardy! :) :) :) Whee!
In other news, I am mostly lumbering from the bed to the couch and back, falling asleep all over the house, and waiting for the baby to suddenly announce his arrival. It could be any second now! Ye heavens! But don’t worry, I will let you know when it does. In fact, no blog probably means: Tui is sleeping (again). Blog with photos of baby means: baby has arrived! So there’s your guide. 🙂
Speaking of which…I think it’s time for a(nother) nap…
