Places To Go and Books To Read
Hi everyone!
I’m about halfway through my book tour, so just dropping in for a quick hello to mention the events coming up in the next week!
Guess where I am now?
That’s right — Seattle! My first visit here, and it’s such a cool city! Tomorrow — Sunday, March 6! — I’m doing my one event in the Seattle area at Third Place Books in Lake Forest Park at 5pm. Reading from DARKSTALKER! And my adorable baby nephew will be there, so: bonus adorableness! 🙂
Then Tuesday and Wednesday evenings I’ll be visiting wonderful libraries in the Richland, WA area — check my Events page for details!
Then Thursday at 4pm I’m doing a group signing at the Kennewick, WA Barnes & Noble with SIXTEEN other amazing authors!
(Which will also be a good opportunity for you to buy one of my new favorite books: The Nest, by Kenneth Oppel — AAAAAAAAAAAAACK this book is AMAZING! More about this when I have more time to write — but basically, if you can, come to the group signing and buy it and have him sign it for you, because I’m betting you will love it, too!)
And then I’m doing the Cavalcade of Authors on Friday — writing workshops all day! — and then flying to Arizona! For the Tucson Festival of Books!!! Which sounds like crazy fun, with a ton of authors and illustrators I adore, so I hope some of you in Arizona can come — you can find my schedule on their website or on my Events page.
Then home for a few days, then off to Michigan for the Battle of the Books in Traverse City!
And then home for real, where there will be lots of snuggling with little bears, and possibly some snuggling with my abandoned DVR as well. 😉
Hope to see some of you in my travels! I had an amazing time in Portland, which has the most beautiful, enviable bookstores — here I am outside one of them, the incredibly lovely Green Bean Books! 🙂
(And if you missed me in Portland or Omaha, I left oodles of signed books in The Bookworm (in Omaha) and in the following Portland bookstores: A Children’s Place, Green Bean Books, Powell’s downtown, and Powell’s at Cedar Hills!)
More soon, I hope — maybe along the tour, or maybe after I recover! 🙂
What I’m Reading While Traveling: Everything I Never Told You, by Celeste Ng; The Grimm Legacy, by Polly Shulman; The Key to Extraordinary, by Natalie Lloyd; The True Meaning of Smekday, by Adam Rex; and The Madwoman Upstairs, by Catherine Lowell (plus whatever I cave in and buy at the next couple of bookstores!) 🙂
